There is nothing as emotionally debilitating for patients in hospitals, assisted-living facilities and nursing homes as the loss of self-esteem, self-reliance and dignity.

Yet that is exactly what happens when the disabled need staff help for even the smallest services, such as raising and lowering beds, turning television sets on or off, changing the thermostat or the lights or their positions in bed.

Because these are low-priority tasks for professional staff, patients often wait hours for their needs to be met, all the while they are left to despair over their lost ability to help themselves.

VICTORY for Disabled Patients

The VICTORY Systemä: Creates a state-of-the-art, fully automated living quarters that puts control of a patient’s environment into the patient’s hands.

•                The Victory System allows each patient to turn a television set off and on or to control the volume, to readjust room temperature, to raise and lower the bed, to adjust lighting or to call for assistance for medical-care requests. Other tasks can be assigned to The Victory System, as well. Where appropriate, The Victory System can even be adapted to help patients change positions in bed or to get to and from their bathrooms.

•                Creating situations in which patients can control their environments returns some of the self-esteem and self-reliance lost to their disabilities and the need for assistance to get through the day. It restores to them a sense of freedom and dignity not available in most institutional settings.

•                The Victory System helps institutions deliver a higher level of patient care by freeing professional staff of “housekeeping chores” and providing more time for medical duties.
